Bearbrick

Bearbricks are collectibles, plastic vinyl toys, designed and produced by MediCom Toy.  It look similar like the Medicom Kubricks figurines except its head is in a form of bear, that make it more visually appealing and adorable. They came in different sizes and designs. The 100% Bearbricks, are the standard size, which are seven centimeters high. Other Bearbricks also ranged in different sizes like 50% are four centimeters high, 70% are five centimeters high, 200% are 14 centimeters high, 400% are 28 centimeters high, and 1000% are 70 centimeters high. They are sold in blind assortments, meaning that every piece is sealed in silver foil in a box with a ID card of the enclosed bearbrick. The blind assortments came in a a carton box of 24 bearbricks. They are released in Series, starting with Series One in 2001, til the current Latest Bearbrick Series.

The designs of each series are usually classified as Basic Letter, Jellybean, Cute , Animal , Flag, SF – Sci Fiction, Pattern, Horror, Artists, Hero and Secrets. The Artists and Secrets are produced in collaborations with contemporary pop culture artists and toys designers.

Other than the regularly released series, Medicom also produced specials theme, or designs for many companies like HMV, Isetan, Anna Sui, Fred Perry.   The latest product details are updated at Medicom Toy site.

They are very edgy designed urban vinyl toys that even many adults love collecting them! Personally, I always enjoyed playing with them, brainstorming for ideas.
